We have conducted a class survey by a show of hands. Gangster films received 7 hands up out of 15 pupils present.The most popular type of genre that people raised their arms for was comedy with 10 out of 15 people voting for it.The next question was what are some of your favourite films and films like snatch and lock,stock and two smoking barrels came up more than once. Therfore we have decided that we want to make a British gangster/comedy movieclip as we feel that comedy is hard to make to suit everyones sense of humour and we do feel comfortable with making a gangster film as we have done previous work in this area. Although we would like to incorporate hints of comedy as many british gangster films feature this. We started to look at the opening scenes to some classic British gangster like 'layer cake', 'lock, stock and two smoking barrels', 'snatch' and 'rock n rolla' and we are brainstorming plots.
