Brief Choice

The brief that I have decided to do is the promotion package for a film including a teaser trailer, a film magazine front cover and a poster for the film.

Before i start the trailer, poster or magazine front cover I think about what type of film would be suitable to do and what type of film genres are popular with my target audience.

Suitable film type

Things I need to think about before i decide what film i am doing:

• How easy will it be for me to get the costumes for filming the trailer and taking photos for the magazine front cover and poster.
• Will i be able to get the right setting for the chosen film e.g. Cant have a film that is set on a space ship.
• I will not be able to film any big stunts or use special effects like the ones in the film the Matrix.
• How much am i going to reveal in the film trailer, magazine cover or poster. (Do not reveal the end of the film in the trailer)
• Once decided on the film are the products that i am producing suitable for the target audience that would be interested in the film.
• What are the effective techniques that similar films have used in film posters, trailers and magazine front covers that can also be used in this product.
