I started by looking at the different Pre-sets and beats on Garage Band. To make sure that i will be getting a "rock and roll" feel to the music, i would be using instruments like guitars, bass guitars, drums ETC.
I have found some beats and guitar rifts that go well together and have started to compose my piece of music. I will make my piece of music two minutes long because that is the maximum number of minutes of filming that will be marked. If our opening scene to our movie clip does not reach two minutes, then i will cut down the length of the music.

this is good, Ross, however you may need to compose music which complements the action/images the audience are seeing. guess there is a need for flexibility here.
